ResponsibilitiesThe Office of Admissions is a unit within the Division of Enrollment Management, which is comprised of four distinct units: Office of Admissions, Office of the University Registrar, Office of Financial Aid, and Technology Operations. Enrollment Managements integrated services provide distinctive support throughout the student's development and progression in their academic experience from recruitment through commencement. Through collaboration, communication, and commitment, all units within Enrollment Management achieve the highest level of student-centered service to current and prospective students and families and to campus partners across the University.
Responsible for the planning and coordination of the application evaluation process for transfer and readmission applicants.
Coordinates the application review process for transfer and readmission applicants. This includes evaluating authenticity, accreditation, and accuracy of high school and college transcripts to determine if the application is ready for review. Calculates high school and college grade point averages (GPA) and checks for appropriate course units. Reviews ACT/CLT/SAT scores for university requirements. Reviews transcripts and course descriptions to determine if the admission requirements for world language and college-level English/mathematics proficiency are met. Assigns appropriate defer or deny letters or refers application to the appropriate college for review of the academic mapping milestones. Assigns the appropriate decision letter after receiving the mapping recommendation from the college.
Answers inquiries and communicates via telephone, in person, and in writing with students, parents, counselors, deans, mapping coordinators, and other campus personnel regarding requirements for transfer and readmission to the University and admission status.
Assists with the review process for first-year applications. This includes determining if the application is ready for review and completing an evaluation of the application.
Determines priorities of work assignments and runs query audits in Slate. Responsible for the planning and evaluation of the mapping process for transfer applicants. Assists in developing policies and procedures within the section and may supervise employees, including OPS.
Participates in special events hosted by the Division of Enrollment Management such as Preview and counselor workshops. Assists other sections during peak times in support of the goals of the Division of Enrollment Management.
QualificationsBachelor's degree and one year of experience; or a high school diploma/equivalent and five years of experience. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to five years.)
Must have a valid Florida or Georgia Driver's License, or the ability to obtain prior to hire.

Anticipated Salary RangeThe anticipated starting salary for this position is $44,056.80, commensurate with experience and education.
