What You'll Do: As our Transcript Specialist, you'll play a vital role in ensuring that every student's academic history is evaluated thoroughly and accurately. You'll help transfer students receive the credit they've earned, support degree completion processes, and keep things running smoothly behind the scenes. Your strong communication skills and keen eye for detail will help students and staff navigate complex policies with confidence. In This Role, You Will:
- Evaluate and analyze incoming university transcripts for accreditation and academic equivalency
- Use course catalogs, syllabi, and descriptions to assess credit eligibility
- Award and record transfer credits in the Student Information System (SIS)
- Clearly communicate transcript evaluations and credit decisions to students and staff
- Process transcript requests and education verifications (incoming and outgoing)
- Maintain digital student records and ensure all documents are accurately scanned and uploaded
- Provide expert guidance on transfer credit policies and procedures
- Uphold compliance with FERPA and protect sensitive student information
- Contribute to degree completion efforts and help students stay on track
- Support day-to-day operations and assist with other administrative tasks as needed
Requirements What You Bring to the Table:Required Education: Associate's degree Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree Experience:
- 2-3 years in transcript evaluation, student records, or a related academic support role
- Familiarity with transcript processes, grading systems, and course equivalency practices
- Proficiency in student records software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A positive, solution-focused attitude and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and efficiency
- Integrity and discretion in handling confidential information
