Training Institute Director (Substance Abuse & Mental Health) - NYC Staffing : Job Details

The Director of Outreach Training Institute will provide leadership and oversight of Outreach Training Institute. Major responsibilities include program development, administration and management, personnel and budget management, and external relations and marketing. Universal responsibilities encompass problem solving, interpersonal skills, communication, planning and organizing, quality control, adaptability, attitude, dependability, safety and security, and commitment to agency mission and values. Based at OTI in Richmond Hill, Queens, NY, the role requires occasional travel to other Outreach locations and external customer agencies, with remote work from home permitted when appropriate. Reports to VP, Training, OTI and supervises the Administrative Manager, Senior Trainer, Career Development Supervisor, and training consultants. Required knowledge and skills include excellent management and leadership, understanding of OASAS programs, self-driven results orientation, skilled communication, flexibility in travel and work hours. Qualifications include a master's degree in psychology, social work or related field, strong clinical background in substance use disorders and mental health, substantial experience as an adult educator, and at least two years of management experience. This job operates in a professional office environment, requiring the use of standard office equipment and the ability to travel among assigned sites as needed.
