Position Overview

The Trainee Shift Supervisor position is an entry-level role designed to equip candidates for advanced supervisory positions such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. This role involves training in essential operations and management skills while gaining knowledge about the business's key elements, including fostering customer loyalty through exceptional service and understanding the CVS/pharmacy culture. Upon successfully completing the training program, candidates may be considered for promotion to available Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor openings. In these leadership roles, you'll support the CVS Store Management team by driving store performance and enhancing consumer loyalty through outstanding customer service. When management is absent, the designated supervisor ensures smooth store operations and is responsible for completing opening and closing procedures.

• Collaborate effectively with store management and team members.
• Supervise the store team by assigning, directing, and following up on all activities.
• Communicate effectively with both management and staff.

• Assist customers with inquiries, concerns, and complaints.
• Promote the CVS customer service philosophy by greeting customers, offering assistance, and expressing gratitude.
• Manage customer relations in line with company policy, ensuring a positive shopping experience for all CVS patrons.
• Uphold customer/patient confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications

Strong deductive reasoning, analytical abilities, and computer proficiency are essential. Excellent communication skills and flexibility to work varying shifts, including early mornings, overnight, and weekends, are required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in retail is advantageous.

Education

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay Range: $16.00 - $26.00
