Job Title: Traffic Engineer

Location: Tampa, FL

Job Type: Hybrid, Onsite

Stanley Consultants seeks a Traffic Engineer for our Traffic Engineering Department in Tampa, FL. The role may involve supporting D1 and D7 client requests. The successful candidate will develop technical solutions, foster client and staff relationships, and mentor younger engineers.

• Prepare and review traffic impact studies, signal warrant studies, intersection design, safety studies, multimodal planning documents, and technical reports.
• Design traffic signal plans for new and modified intersections.
• Review roadway plans and permits, ensuring compliance with applicable standards.
• Coordinate with clients and internal teams to support traffic engineering projects.

• Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 5-10 years relevant experience in traffic engineering, transportation planning, or ITS.
• Florida EI certification or PE license.
• Experience with FDOT, local agencies, and traffic engineering standards (TEM, MUTCD, MUTS, Florida Design Manual).
• Knowledge of TSM&O, traffic analysis software (SYNCHRO, HCS, SIDRA, VISTRO), and CAD tools.

Flexible hybrid work schedule, including two days in-office, two days remote, and a flexible day. Options for a compressed 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.
