With our historic growth, it is an exciting time to join our team of employee-owners.This opportunity entails being responsible for building and maintaining data pipelines and systems that support our data analysis and machine learning projects. You will be responsible for extracting, transforming, and loading data from various sources using SQL and AWS technologies, as well as creating and testing data models and schemas. You will also work closely with data scientists and analysts to provide them with the data they need to perform their tasks.

What You'll Do:

  • Designs, develops, and deploys data pipelines and systems using SQL, AWS, Python, and other technologies
  • Implements best practices for data engineering, such as data modeling, data quality, data governance, data security, etc.
  • Performs data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure data accuracy and integrity
  • Monitors, optimizes, and maintains existing data pipelines and systems for performance and scalability
  • Researches and evaluates new data technologies and tools to improve data engineering processes and capabilities
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver data solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or
  • In lieu of education, 4 years of relevant experience.

What You'll Bring:

  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and familiarity with MicroStation and/or AutoCad or other software
  • Familiarity with the basic theory of traffic and transportation engineering
  • Familiarity with the Highway Capacity Manual (HCM) and the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD)
  • Basic knowledge of Python or other programming languages for data manipulation and automation
  • Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively

What We Prefer:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering
  • Knowledge in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
  • Familiarity with Highway Capacity Software (HCS), Synchro, or another deterministic traffic analysis software

The approximate pay range for New York is $64,787.11 - $121,475.85. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual's qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as physical work location within the state.
