The SR400 Express Lanes Project is a $4.6 billion infrastructure development by SR400 Constructors (a joint venture of Flatiron Dragados and ACCIONA), commissioned by GDOT and SRTA. It involves adding two 16-mile express lanes from Sandy Springs to McFarland, with construction starting in late 2025 and completion expected in 2031. The project includes bus rapid transit stations and bridge refurbishments, employing over 500 workers at peak.

We seek an experienced and proactive Traffic Control MOT (Maintenance of Traffic) Manager to oversee all temporary traffic control activities for this project. The role involves planning, implementing, and supervising MOT operations in compliance with GDOT, MUTCD, and project standards.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop, review, and manage MOT plans aligned with project phases, safety standards, and GDOT requirements.
  • Coordinate with construction teams, utilities, subcontractors, and agencies to execute traffic control activities.
  • Supervise daily lane closures, detours, flagging, and traffic shifts.
  • Ensure compliance with MUTCD, GDOT standards, and permits.
  • Monitor field conditions, address safety issues, and document all activities.
  • Participate in coordination meetings and provide input on project phases and public impact.
  • Train and mentor field staff and subcontractors on traffic safety and standards.
  • Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders for traffic management.
    • QualificationsRequired Skills
    • Minimum of 5 years of MOT or traffic control management experience on large highway or infrastructure projects.
    • Knowledge of GDOT standards, MUTCD, and work zone regulations.
    • Certified MOT Manager, ATTSA Traffic Control Technician/Supervisor, or TCS certification (or equivalent).
    • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
    • Familiarity with traffic control planning tools (AutoCAD preferred) and MS Office.
    • Valid driver's license; flexibility for night/weekend work.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience on large Design-Build projects.
    • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
    • Additional certifications: OSHA 30, GDOT TCS, etc.
