GBM, Global Fund Finance - Trading/Structuring, Vice President - New York

Global Fund Finance (GFF, the Team) within the Capital Solutions Group (GBM Private) is a key driver of our Fixed Income Financing growth effort, a vital part of the firms overall strategy. This unit is essential for expanding our investing & lending footprint across all fund finance verticals, including private credit, private equity, subscription finance, and related capital markets activities. With projected growth in AUM in the PE and Private Credit markets, Global Fund Finance is expected to continue being a focus of growth and innovation for the firm.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

Role

GFF is a team with members across New York, London, Dallas, Boston, and Bengaluru, involved in structuring/trading, origination, and underwriting. We are currently seeking an experienced VP based in New York to work within the structuring/trading function.

Responsibilities

• Lead structuring, risk management, and risk-taking decisions across one or more verticals within the team. This includes managing transaction execution throughout the entire lifecycle, such as negotiating commercial terms, legal documentation, internal stakeholder approvals, and post-trade risk oversight.
• Innovate with new product development, ideally leveraging prior experience in the broader structured finance market.
• Identify key risk trends from both GS and client perspectives, and develop mechanisms to monitor and manage these risks.
• Assess the credit, funding, and capital implications of complex structured loans and derivatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with a proven ability to develop new ideas.
• Relevant experience in investing, trading, structuring, etc., preferably across multiple asset classes, with a solid understanding of both cash and synthetic products.
• Knowledge of financial accounting and analysis.
• People and project management skills with keen attention to detail.
• Team-oriented and self-motivated.

Salary Range

The expected base salary for this New York-based position is $125,000 to $250,000. Additional discretionary bonuses may be available for active employees at fiscal year-end.
