TPWD - Park Ranger I (Interpreter) - Texas Parks & Wildlife Department : Job Details

Under the direction of the Park Superintendent, this position is responsible for routine (journey-level) operations work in a state park, including the interpretation of Bonham State Park. Develops, presents, and coordinates interpretive programs for the public, leads interpretive tours, and coordinates special events. Plans and implements outreach and educational programs. Assists with natural and cultural resource management which may include participating in prescribed fires, spraying of exotic vegetation, and mechanical manipulation of habitat. Conducts site promotion and marketing. Assists with volunteer recruitment, management, and training. Manages Park social media platforms. Prepares reports and assists with visitor registration, revenue collection, and fiscal control compliance. Assists with routine facility, grounds, and equipment maintenance. Works under moderate supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
