TowerMRL and Advanced Tower Services have immediate openings for Telecommunication Tower Field Welder - Level 1, an entry-level position for those seeking professional and personal growth while traveling throughout the US. POSITION REQUIRES LOCATION TO OUR COTTAGE GROVE, WI OR ALBUQUERQUE, NM, WITHIN 60 TO 120 DAYS OF EMPLOYMENT.

The role involves learning and performing a variety of field-specific duties. Travel is extensive, with employees scheduled for 2-3 weeks in the field at a time, with backlogged time off after each deployment. Longer assignments are available for higher pay. Welders must perform welding in challenging conditions, including rain, wind, extreme heat, and cold, often while in fall protection harnesses and at heights up to 500 feet. They must also be able to lift over 50 lbs. and travel out of state for extended periods, including overnight and weekends.

TowerMRL provides training, certifications, base pay (including travel time), hotel accommodations, and per diem for overnight work. All new employees will undergo tower and rescue training before deployment. There are opportunities for overtime and advancement. Typical work weeks are either 5 days on with weekends off or 10 days on with 4 days off.

Welders will learn tower hand skills and perform a variety of duties, spending about 30% of their time welding. They must be able to weld structural members with consistent quality, following layouts, blueprints, and work orders, often in 'out of position' conditions.

New employees must pass pre-employment drug screening, DOT physical, background check, and driver record review.
