DESCRIPTION OF WORKIn this position, you will be tasked with providing outstanding customer service to a diverse range of stakeholders at the PennDOT Welcome Center. This includes not only the traveling public but also partners in the tourism sector, internal customers, employees, and vendors. Your main responsibility will involve assisting visitors by offering vital information about their stay in Pennsylvania, such as directions and accommodation options, which will help to promote and enhance travel experiences throughout the state. Moreover, you will be instrumental in advancing PennDOT's tourism outreach efforts and strengthening industry partnerships through a variety of initiatives, including special programming, informational tours, travel shows, and other related events. You will also be expected to undertake additional travel-support tasks as directed by your supervisor or division manager. Effective and proactive communication will be key to optimizing the operations of the Welcome Center Division, and you will be required to liaise directly with the Tourist Information Supervisor to address any inquiries, concerns, or suggestions related to the staff and operations of the Welcome Center.

You must have the ability to report to work within 1-hour of being called in.
You must have front facing public contact experience.
