The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tool making, the ability to work independently, a thorough knowledge of various types of equipment, and knowledge of CNC processes. *This position is available on 2nd or 3rd shift.**Key Responsibilities:** Build strong relationships with your team members, promoting trust, respect, and open communication.* Implement and maintain best practices for safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement throughout the tool making process.* Must be able to operate all conventional equipment in the machine shop such as lathes, mills, cylindrical grinder, surface grinder, hone, bench work, and heat treat.* Read and edit G-code. Familiarity with conversational programming (i.e. HAAS)* May be required to assist in tool distribution, cleaning, and maintenance of tooling at tool crib.* Ability to develop a working knowledge of the computer inventory system used to track tooling in the tool crib.* Proofread and understand and make minor changes to programs at the machine.* Maintain machine tools and fixtures used to perform operations.* Exercise ingenuity in setup and operation.* Calculate required dimensions, angles, and tapers, etc.* Ability to plan and perform work of a complex nature.* Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, maintenance, and logistics, to optimize workflows and resolve any production-related issues.*Qualifications:** Minimum of 5 years of machine shop experience.* Excellent problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset.* Strong communication skills.* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.* Competitive wages plus shift differentialJob Type: Full-timePay: $29.00 - $32.00 per hourBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Employee discount* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Referral program* Retirement plan* Vision insuranceSchedule:* Evening shift* Night shiftAbility to Commute:* Kersey, PA 15846 (Required)Ability to Relocate:* Kersey, PA 15846: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
