JOB DESCRIPTIONJob Summary Under the direction of a Tooling Supervisor, the Tool and Die Maker is responsible for repairing dies and making adjustments as needed to run dies in accordance with the customers' standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Tool and Die Maker must be able to troubleshoot conditions in a production settingPerform die set operationsPerform preventative maintenance on metal stamping diesPerform quality checksPerform other duties as requiredTool and Die Maker must complete all required and applicable training required by Adient and its customers.Qualifications Required: High School diploma or equivalent (GED)Minimum 1-2 years of experience working in a sheet metal stamping facility or similar experienceMinimum 1-2 years of experience with large transfer and progressive diesAble to lift 40 lbs. frequently depending upon reworkStanding 8 or more hours, walking to assist in seat build, rework, etc.Be able to work 2nd shiftPreferred: Journeyman Tool and Die Card from the Department of LaborPRIMARY LOCATIONBattle Creek Seating Component
