Tissue Recovery Specialist (PD) - Liveonny : Job Details

Follows LiveOnNY policies and procedures, FDA regulations, AATB standards, OSHA standards, and AORN standards for sterile technique while preparing for and performing recoveries. Organizes and arranges the back table and supplies to facilitate tissue recovery and prevent cross contamination and mislabeling of tissues. Maintains aseptic technique throughout the recovery. Opens sterile supplies for tissue recovery. Sterilizes instruments for surgical recovery team. Cultures recovered musculoskeletal tissue according to established protocol. Labels recovered tissue and culture/blood tubes according to established protocol. Packages recovered musculoskeletal tissue according to established protocol. Together with other team members, cleans the operating room/recovery facility after tissue recovery. Coaches and trains new team members on back table procedures, as assigned.
