Friends and Family Home Care is seeking a compassionate and reliable part-time caregiver to provide personalized care for a sweet elderly client in Thousand Oaks. This position is perfect for someone who is dedicated, dependable, and has a genuine passion for helping others. The client has experienced a high turnover in caregivers, so we're looking for someone who can offer stability and consistent support.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Provide companionship and emotional support- Assist with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming- Prepare light meals and assist with feeding if necessary- Ensure medication is taken as prescribed- Light housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe environment- Provide mobility assistance, including walking and exercise routines- Accompany the client to appointments or errands as needed

**Qualifications:**

- Previous experience as a caregiver or in a related field- Reliable transportation (vehicle required)- Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude- Must be able to pass a background check and TB test- Completion of the caregiver training course (or willingness to complete upon hire)- Must be registered or willing to register with the California Department of Social Services
