We are seeking a qualified and dedicated individual to fill the Thistle Grill Restaurant Manager Position! The Thistle Grill Restaurant Manager is a hands-on leader responsible for the daily operations of The Thistle Grill, the Club's casual dining restaurant known for its fast-paced, high-volume service. This role also oversees operations of the Poolside Grill during the summer season (Memorial Day through Labor Day), ensuring a high standard of service, smooth workflow, and a welcoming environment for members and guests. Primary Responsibilities:Operations Management:
- Lead the day-to-day operations of Thistle Grill and Poolside Grill during the summer season.
- Maintain consistent service standards, cleanliness, and operational efficiency across both outlets.
- Assist the Senior Food & Beverage Manager in developing and enforcing SOPs to support smooth service and compliance with health and safety protocols.
- Manage and maintain inventory of dining service items, including glassware, china, flatware, and linen.
- Ensure compliance with state and local alcohol service laws and club policies.
- Contribute to weekly staff scheduling and complete payroll responsibilities via the ADP platform.
- Assist in other club outlets-including Hagen restaurant, banquets, and events-based on the needs and volume of business.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and training seasonal and year-round food & beverage staff.
- Supervise a dynamic team, providing regular coaching, support, and performance feedback.
- Foster a high-energy and professional culture rooted in teamwork, member service, and accountability.
- Support ongoing staff development and training programs to ensure consistent service quality.
Member & Guest Experience:
- Create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for members and guests by leading with hospitality.
- Maintain a visible floor presence, engaging with members to ensure satisfaction and resolve issues quickly and professionally.
- Collaborate with the Events and F&B teams to execute special events, theme nights, and poolside service offerings.
Administrative & Support Duties:
- Attend weekly F&B and staff meetings to stay aligned with club initiatives.
- Provide hands-on floor assistance during peak service times.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of food and beverage service, including casual dining and outdoor service.
- Proven ability to lead a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional, polished demeanor with a focus on member satisfaction.
Preferred Background:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a high-volume restaurant, resort, or private club setting.
- Associate degree or relevant combination of education and professional experience.
