About the Role:
As a Material Planner, you'll play a pivotal role at our corporate office based in Oak Brook, IL, in managing the procurement and execution of material requirements by maintaining material availability for production while balancing working capital and warehousing constraints.
You'll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:
- Develop and maintain material planning assumptions with purchasing, planning, operations, logistics/warehousing and commercial teams, including safety stocks, lead times, order quantities, and lots sizing.
- Execute MRP for materials and issue purchase orders to ensure material availability for Operations
- Review and assist in resolving invoicing discrepancies in SAP via either MRBR or VIM
- Monitor supply plans to identify changes and to determine their effect on material requirements schedules.
- Report on back orders, short stock, excess items, and slow-moving inventory to the parties concerned, while developing solutions with suppliers and internal resources.
- Analyze supplier performance and inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, or optimize customer service.
- Work cross-functionally with Sales, Business Units, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Procurement and Operations to ensure cross-functional alignment and meet company objectives.
Important Details:
- This is a full-time, on-site role on first shift, based in our Oak Brook, IL office.
- The anticipated compensation for this position ranges from $61,900 to $92,900 annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics and business or organizational needs. For certain roles, the successful candidate may be eligible for annual discretionary merit compensation award, bonus and equity pay.
You'll fit right in if you have:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Statistics, Operations Research, or related field is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years supply chain, production scheduling, demand planning, or operations experience.
- Strong computer skills including knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office, Power BI and SAP/ERP are preferred. Including the ability to access reports and data to utilize the information and make effective analytical decisions.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally with internal and external customers and vendors.
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate clearly verbally and in written form.
- Strong organizational/time management skills.
- Self-motivated with strong multitasking, analytical thinking, problem solving and leadership skills.
