Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Thermal Blanket Production Manager to join a National Defense Contract in Midland, TX with 100% on-site presence. The Thermal Blanket Production Manager will oversee the installation of multi-layer insulation (MLI) blankets for satellites, ensuring zero defects and reliable thermal control in space. The role involves leading a high-performance team in a fast-paced environment, optimizing installation procedures, collaborating with engineering and supply chain teams, and supporting a high-volume satellite assembly line.

Responsibilities include:

• Manage thermal blanket operations in a satellite production facility
• Lead and mentor a 24/7 installation team
• Develop installation procedures and improve repair methodologies
• Drive process improvements for efficiency and quality
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to streamline installation
• Coordinate with supply chain to ensure timely material delivery
• Track and report production metrics to management
• Travel to suppliers and launch sites as needed

Qualifications include:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related field
• Experience installing MLI blankets on spacecraft
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Microsoft Office
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Experience with budgeting, cost control, manufacturing operations
• Willingness to travel up to 25%

Compensation:

• Salary: $120,000-$130,000 depending on experience
