Overview
Purpose of Position and Scope of Responsibility
Evaluates and assesses patients to establish functional, measureable goals to promote restoration of functional abilities. Provides treatment according to a written plan of care to meet established goals. Plans for discharge and communicates findings and progress according to professional licensure/certification, scope of practice and department/discipline policies and procedures. Produces other reports as needed. May supervise clinical students and support staff including certified/licesnsed assistants, technicians, and volunteers. Provides a caring replationship that facilitates health, and healing. Performs other duties as assigned.
Principal Accountabilities/Responsibilities
Evaluates and assesses the patient based on subjective and objective information
Develops a written plan of care
Provides treatment according to established goals on the plan of care.
Documents interventions/care in the patient's medical record.
Evaluates effectiveness of plan of care while also reassessing patient's functional status.
Provides discharge planning information which includes patient/family education, follow-up, and referral to community resources.
Contributes to the development of staff and students
Participates in activities designed to improve health care delivery
Completes assigned goals
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Education Bachelor or Doctorate Degree of Physical Therapy
Minimum Experience Entry Level
Minimum Licensure, Registration, Certification BLS Certification within 14 days of hire and Current Arkansas PT license
