The salary or hourly rate offer will be based on the candidate's experience in the exact or comparable position and additional preferred qualifications will be considered.Schedule: Monday - Friday, 35 hours per weekPay: $66,357.00- $78,000.00 Salary/yearESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESRiseBoro's Functional Family Therapy - Adult program is a therapeutic model that operates within its Clinical Services unit and is a strength-based, evidence-informed, culturally responsive intervention program that, at its core, aims to reduce community and interpersonal violence by engaging people in a change process that nurtures hope and strengthens relationships. Special attention is paid to interfamilial and extrafamilial factors, and how they present within and influence therapeutic processes. The Therapist is an integral part of successful treatment. Specific duties and responsibilities include:Carry a caseload as assignedProvide weekly one-hour, home-based, virtual, or office family therapy sessions to clients, at a minimumActively participate as part of the therapy teamComplete formalized FFT-A assessmentsRefer families to appropriate services and supports regularlyProvide families with both clinical and concrete servicesPerform the basic accountability tasks related to the job, which include compiling and maintaining all necessary recordsAttend all FFT-A training sessions and supplemental continuing education modules with fidelity by integrating required data management system into service delivery decisionsProvide supervision to assigned Case Managers along with the Program SupervisorProvide life skills classesCollect information for program effectiveness along with administrative staffPerform other related duties as requested by direct supervisor or Clinical DirectorCOMPETENCIESAbility and willingness to work with families in their own homesFlexibility to work when the families are available to meet; ability to work non-traditional and flexible work hours to include being available for weekend, evening or other appointment times with familiesAbility to work independently, as well as contribute to a teamVery good interpersonal/communication skillsBilingual in Spanish strongly preferred; program requires at least one Spanish speaking staff memberStrong clinical skillsAbility to internalize and work within the FFT-A philosophy and modelExpertise in working with young adults, 19 – 27 years of age preferredAbility to work with respect for cultural diversityAbility to engage families who may not want the serviceAbility to adapt and individualize program interventions to utilize family strengths and skillsCommitment to empowering families to solve their own problemsBelief in the capacity of people to grow and changeAbility to establish a mutually respectful relationship, in which the family is a full partner, empowered to solve their own problemsAbility to intervene decisively, when necessary, to protect family membersAbility to set appropriate boundaries and limits for best practiceCommitment to RiseBoro's mission, vision and valuesAbility to understand the concepts of institutional and structural racism and bias and their impact on underserved and underrepresented communitiesHave a demonstrated commitment to supporting communities who have experienced systemic oppression and bias (e.g. people of color, LGBTQ+ people, immigrants, justice involved persons, etc.)EDUCATION and EXPERIENCEMaster's degree in social work, counseling, mental health, or other relevant human service profession required, with two (2) years of experience in children and family servicesEqual Employment Opportunity (EEO)/Affirmative Action PolicyIt is the policy of RiseBoro to provide equal employment opportunity to all employees and applicants for employment.
