Job Overview:

The Therapeutic Radiation Practitioner is essential for delivering ionizing radiation to patients under the guidance of a Radiation Oncologist. This role involves patient simulation, delivering care and education, and ensuring the highest quality of treatment.

Work Schedule: Full-time (36 Hours), Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm

Your Responsibilities:

• Review patient prescriptions and verify identification to explain treatment procedures and expected reactions.
• Prepare treatment rooms and equipment as per the prescribed plan, including managing immobilization devices.
• Document treatment details meticulously, including doses, parameters, and patient responses.
• Carry out treatment simulations and necessary procedures, including the creation of cerrobend blocks.
• Maintain unit cleanliness and ensure adequate stock levels of supplies.
• Participate in quality initiatives and address areas for improvement in patient care and safety.

Requirements:

• Graduation from an accredited radiation therapy program.
• ARRT and RT(T) certifications in radiation therapy.
• Current license in the state of practice, if applicable.
• Current BLS certification.

Physical Demands:

This role requires visual acuity for patient care, manual dexterity for operating equipment, and the ability to lift and transport patients and supplies.

Compensation: Hourly rates range from $46.91 to $72.39, based on experience.
