Mental Health Counselor

Provide individual counseling and support services to clients and family members as appropriate to training and program participant needs
Facilitates/co-facilitates counseling groups
Provides assessments in the areas of mental status, personality, behavioral response patterns, relationships, and family interactions.
Completes emergent mental status evaluations with recommendations as program participant need necessitates
Collaborate and participate in treatment planning with an inter-professional team
Consult with staff, insurance provider, family, etc. about treatment recommendations and progress
Submit service summaries for each program participant served
Attends meetings and trainings as scheduled and/or appropriate
Ensures admission intakes, evaluations, progress, and discharge reports on each program participant are completed in a timely manner
Ensures adherence to accreditation standards and ethics of confidentiality
Provide appropriate supervision and in-house activities for program participants as needed
Qualifications:
Minimum of a Master's degree in a human service field commensurate with requirements that meet the status of Qualified Behavioral Health Provider
Licensure in the field of counseling, social work, or psychology
Self-motivated and detail-oriented with ability to multi-task
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Exceptional communication skills with an ability to establish trust and rapport quickly
A good listener with an ability to empathize while still providing guidance
