Therapeutic Counselor - Sevita : Job Details

NeuroRestorative, a part of the Sevita family, provides rehabilitation services for people of all ages with brain, spinal cord and medically complex injuries, illnesses and other challenges. In a variety of locations and community-based settings, we offer a range of programs, including vocational and therapy programs, day treatments, and specialized services for infants, children, adolescents, Military Service Members and Veterans.

Mental Health Counselor

• Provide individual counseling and support services to clients and family members as appropriate to training and program participant needs

• Facilitates/co-facilitates counseling groups

• Provides assessments in the areas of mental status, personality, behavioral response patterns, relationships, and family interactions.

• Completes emergent mental status evaluations with recommendations as program participant need necessitates

• Collaborate and participate in treatment planning with an inter-professional team

• Consult with staff, insurance provider, family, etc. about treatment recommendations and progress

• Submit service summaries for each program participant served

• Attends meetings and trainings as scheduled and/or appropriate

• Ensures admission intakes, evaluations, progress, and discharge reports on each program participant are completed in a timely manner

• Ensures adherence to accreditation standards and ethics of confidentiality

• Provide appropriate supervision and in-house activities for program participants as needed

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a Master's degree in a human service field commensurate with requirements that meet the status of Qualified Behavioral Health Provider

• Licensure in the field of counseling, social work, or psychology

• Self-motivated and detail-oriented with ability to multi-task

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Exceptional communication skills with an ability to establish trust and rapport quickly

• A good listener with an ability to empathize while still providing guidance
