The Leaders of Tomorrow Youth Center (LTYC) in Capitol Heights, MD, US, is seeking a committed individual to join us as a Theatre/Puppetry Specialist. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to spark the imagination of young minds through the captivating world of performance art.

Responsibilities include creating engaging performances, nurturing emerging talent, and fostering a love for the arts in the local youth community. With a competitive hourly wage of $25 to $28, you will play a crucial part in a dynamic team dedicated to shaping the future leaders of tomorrow. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement creative lesson plans for theatre and puppetry workshops.
  • Coordinate and lead engaging classroom activities focusing on performance arts.
  • Design and create puppet characters and props for theatrical productions.
  • Manage classroom dynamics and ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with other instructors to organize and execute performances showcasing students' talents.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in theatre or puppetry performance.
  • Strong background in lesson planning for theatrical or puppetry productions.
  • Proficiency in creating engaging and interactive puppet shows or theatrical performances.
  • US work authorization and eligibility to work in Maryland.
Compensation

$25 - $28 per hour
