The Department of Psychology in the School of Behavioral and Brain Sciences (BBS) at the University of Texas at Dallas (UT Dallas) seeks to fill a full-time faculty position to serve as the inaugural Director of a Psychological Services and Education Center (PSEC). The PSEC is being established as part of the development of a new doctoral concentration in psychological clinical science. The Director position is a non-tenure system position with appointment, depending upon experience, as either a Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Professor. We invite applicants with experience in developing clinic infrastructure and technology, who have strengths in budget management, staff oversight, and administration (to include working collaboratively with faculty-led specialty clinics). The Director will also serve as the HIPAA Compliance Officer, ensuring that all clinical operations, patient records, and trainee activities adhere to federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations and university policies on data security and confidentiality. A successful candidate should have experience with successful fund raising and grant writing. Competency in supervision of evidence-based treatments with diverse client populations is essential. Experience with PCSAS accreditation is desired. Preference will be given to candidates whose record of scholarship connects in some way to that of current department faculty and the field of psychological clinical science. Teaching responsibilities will include opportunities for undergraduate and/or graduate level courses in psychological clinical science that are consistent with expertise.
Qualifications
Applicants must have earned a PhD or equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited program and be licensed or license-eligible. Postdoctoral training is desirable. The Director of the PSEC will be expected to work effectively in a highly collaborative, engaging, and dynamic environment comprised of individuals of diverse backgrounds, skills, and perspectives. Preference will be given to candidates with the initiative and experience to contribute to program development in tandem with establishing the PSEC. The appointment commences August 1, 2025.
