IT Technician Job Summary:

Texas Precious Metals is seeking an ambitious IT Technician who can solve complex problems and provide essential support to our internal technology infrastructure. This role is critical to ensuring the secure, efficient operation of all systems, applications, hardware, and software. The ideal candidate brings technical proficiency, a commitment to excellence, and a desire to align technology solutions with organizational goals.

IT Technician Responsibilities:

- Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, remote tools, and in-person.

- Install, configure, and maintain hardware such as desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.

- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in systems such as Active Directory.

- Perform regular maintenance and updates on IT systems and equipment.

- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues promptly.

- Support installation and upgrades of operating systems and applications.

- Maintain and update IT asset inventory and documentation.

- Collaborate with IT team members on system upgrades and deployments.

- Monitor system performance and proactively address issues.

- Ensure adherence to company security policies and IT best practices.

- Assist with IT setup for onboarding and offboarding processes.

- All other duties as assigned by management.

IT Technician Skills and Competencies:

- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

- Working knowledge of network configurations and protocols

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

- Attention to detail and commitment to documentation

IT Technician Qualifications:

- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field

- 13 years of experience in IT support or technician role preferred

- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows, Office 365, and Active Directory

Texas Precious Metals:

Typical office setting with occasional travel between facilities. May require on-call availability for IT emergencies or after-hours upgrades.
