Volt takes great care of our great hires Volt is immediately hiring for a Testing Technician in San Marcos, Ca. Experience is required As a Testing Technician you will: - Understand and apply product performance parameters and associated test methodologies.
- Assist in the development of product specifications.
- Create, edit, and maintain work instructions and test procedures.
- Verify and document product performance results.
- Analyze test processes and unit failures using knowledge of electronics.
- Perform tasks including:
- Test station and equipment setup
- Unit adjustment, alignment, and calibration
- Failure analysis and repair of defective products
- Electro-mechanical disassembly and reassembly
- Test data collection, reporting, and distribution
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with established standards.
- Accurately complete timesheets.
- Adhere to company health and safety policies and procedures.
- Uphold company values, including ethical conduct and integrity.
Other Duties and Responsibilities: - May assist in building moderately complex electro-mechanical assemblies as needed.
This is a fulltime opportunity The ideal candidate will have: Performed complex testing of components, subassemblies and finished products Two years of technical school; or ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to read and interpret documents in the English language, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees within the organization. Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts to routinely encountered situations and obtain quantitative results. Ability to interpret graphical data and reduce larger data sets to graphical form. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations Electronic technician certification preferred.
Pay Rate: $32.00-37.00/hr *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc. Qualified candidates should
