Test Technician R&D - GE Vernova : Job Details

Performs high voltage testing, such as 60 Hz AC, impulse and chopped wave tests. Assist with the setup and testing process for temperature rise testing. Assist with the setup and testing process for mechanical endurance testing. Assist with the setup and testing process for extreme temperature testing of high-voltage equipment. Perform mechanical adjustment operations on circuit breaker components, linkages, and operating mechanisms. Compare results with specifications, records test data, and prints test results. Perform electrical troubleshooting and repairs, including the replacing of defective wiring and electrical components, and mechanical repairs. Confer with engineers, technicians, production personnel, and others regarding testing procedures and results and to resolve problems. Perform maintenance and repair procedures on electrical and mechanical test equipment, gas handling equipment, and test facilities. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications.
