Job description
SUMMARY:
Assists, trains, and instructs test technicians. Assists technicians with work priorities, troubleshooting, and setup. Assists with the build and design of test fixtures, along with the repair and calibration of test equipment. Operates sophisticated test equipment to conduct a variety of functional, operational, environmental, and life tests necessary to evaluate performance and reliability of components in equipment systems. Prepares and maintains records, charts, diagrams, and completes necessary paperwork.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide training and assistance to other technicians.
- Assist other techs with work priorities, troubleshooting, and setup.
- Provide test support for engineers and new projects.
- Involved in the repair and calibration of test equipment for all facilities.
- Assist with the design and build of test fixtures.
- Assist with CRG quotes as needed.
- Operate sophisticated test equipment and testing systems to set up, align, and test all types of complex electrical components, equipment, and systems.
- Accept conforming products and reject nonconforming products.
- Troubleshoot electrical components, equipment, and systems to determine cause of nonconformance to specifications.
- Maintain related test and repair documentation.
- Perform additional duties as directed.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must receive training as per FRCQP-1800.
- Perform job duties in compliance with FRC's quality system.
- Have the technical knowledge to understand and operate sophisticated test equipment and overall calibration of testing systems for setup, alignment, testing, and troubleshooting of complex electrical components, equipment, and systems.
- Technical knowledge to deal with engineer-designed and -resigned circuits, components, and devices is required.
- ASEE/ASEET or equivalent certification is required.
- Pass far, near, and color vision acuity testing per customer requirements.
- Meet requirements of FAA drug and alcohol program.
- Complete certification for J-STD-001 solder training and A610 inspector training.
- Preferably hold a 2-year degree in a technical program, but training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Must be 18 years old and a US citizen.
