**Description**

Laars Heating Systems Company is seeking a Territory Sales Manager in the Michigan area. This position will manage all sales activities in assigned territory by performing the following duties.

* Develops and implements strategic sales plans to meet or exceed regional sales goals.

* Supports and manages consulting engineering, contractor, and end user relationships by direct interface with these customer groups.

* Collaborates with LAARS marketing, sales, and engineering departments, as well as external partners, in the development and implementation of short- and long-term strategies and planning.

* Seeks out and researches prospective relationships with manufacturer representatives, contractors, and customers through various communication methods, traveling, attending conferences, and networking.

* Manages and maintains business relationships and the LAARS reputation within assigned geographical territory, markets, and product groups.

* Meets and delivers sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives and also represents company at trade association meetings and other related events.

* Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition and provides input to the Regional Manager on new product or service features to be developed to meet current and future customer needs.

**Education and/or Experience-**

* Associates Degree Required

* Extensive knowledge of hydronic and domestic water heating systems required

* Two plus years in an outside sales role

* Three plus years total sales experience

* Extensive knowledge of company products and applications

* Extensive knowledge of HVAC and Plumbing products industry

* Demonstrated experience in selling, negotiating, and public presentation is required

* Excellent interpersonal applicable to a sales-oriented environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Requires the ability to travel within the market area to contact sales channel partners and clients

**Language Skills-**English Required, Spanish helpful

**Mathematical Skills**-Basic High School Math required.

**Computer Skills-**Must have competent computer skills with emphasis on MS office products, including MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and MS Word.

**Other Skills and Abilities ** Must be self-motivated with good time management and planning skills.

**Other Qualifications-** Must be willing to travel overnight, up to 30% of the time and possess a current valid drivers license.
