Description

The role will have responsibilities for distributor management, direct customer management, and account management. The Territory Manager (TM) is responsible for finalizing details of and closing sales for projects with local accounts within his/her assigned territory – including pricing, quantities, material specifications, and shipping/delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Track projects and opportunities to grow Formica sales in assigned territory.
  • Advance Formica's position in the market through enhanced partnerships with local distributor branches to facilitate project tracking, execution of initiatives/promotions, and distributor sales force coaching.
  • Identify and understand competitive landscape, inclusive of product and distribution, and actively share these findings appropriately.
  • Identify new opportunities for Formica sales within the assigned territory to achieve/exceed financial objectives including sales, share, and profitability.
  • Finalize and close sales with OEMs and target accounts – Distributors and Fabricators, within assigned territory.
  • Identify and develop target accounts by creating a value proposition for Formica to capture selling opportunities/leads in assigned territory that lead to closing projects for Formica.
  • Collaborate with A&D Specialist counterpart, Inside Sales, and Customer Service to build Formica market share.
  • Execute and facilitate the marketing collateral strategy in the market.
  • Develop a market strategy that positions the Formica “House of Brands” with key accounts to capture share in the residential segment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Business to Business (B2B) selling experience preferred.
  • Selling architecturally specified products preferred.
  • Demonstrated sales ability.
  • Overnight travel is required.
  • Ability to motivate others to achieve results.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, and judgment skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and coordinate across the internal organization (Field Sales, Marketing, Legal, etc.).
  • Knowledge of computer systems/programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and manage time.
  • Knowledge of local markets preferred.
  • Ability to provide solutions to customer needs in a win-win fashion.
  • Ability to present a value proposition and overcome price discussions/negotiation.
  • Effectively balance internal relationships with external customer demands.
