Position SummarySupporting Parker Hannifin's Filtration Group, this Process Fluids Territory Manager role is responsible for maintaining and increasing sales volume with existing and new accounts within the industrial distribution channels. The role involves executing sales goals and plans within a designated territory, securing and maintaining product distribution, and supporting the company's Win Strategy. The manager will work closely with division management and support departments to ensure customer service needs are met or exceeded. Reports to the Regional Sales Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships with customers and distributor accounts.
  • Ensure Parker products are specified to increase revenue, prioritizing opportunities for maximum sales and margin results.
  • Manage distribution channels in major markets to maximize Parker's market share.
  • Maintain comprehensive technical knowledge of products, applications, features, and benefits.
  • Keep current with internal and external training and development.
  • Obtain specifications and approvals at engineering firms, major accounts, and distributors to develop sales opportunities.
  • Monitor competitive products and market activity, providing regular reports.
  • Inform management of changes affecting product distribution and develop response strategies.
  • Assist in planning strategies to meet account needs and support cross-division product sales.
  • Provide product training at distributor and customer levels, motivate and guide sales efforts, and assist in converting competitive accounts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in direct or distributor sales in the industrial market preferred.
  • Knowledge of filtration products and applications is preferred.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Proficiency in PC skills.
  • Ability to travel overnight approximately 50% of the time or as required.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
  • Must be located in or near Atlanta, GA; Birmingham, AL; Charleston, NC; or Nashville, TN.
