Position Overview Territory Manager, Bleeding Disorders Program reports to the Regional Director, Bleeding Disorders Program. His/her role is to build business by identifying, selling prospects, and maintaining and enhancing current relationships with clients. In addition, developing and executing programs involving chronic disease states deemed necessary for business expansion and client servicing. Essential Job Responsibilities
  • Identifies business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry; researching and analyzing sales options; develop territory business plan to implement internal strategies to meet the desired goals of the respective territory.
  • Sells services by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects, recommending solutions.
  • Maintains relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance, researching, and recommending new opportunities, recommending profit and service improvements.
  • Identifies service improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
  • Remain competent as a product and disease state expert. Participate in and contribute to marketing and sales meetings, training programs, displays, and conventions as appropriate.
  • Regularly complete company training and regulatory courses, as well as product knowledge training courses as assigned.
  • Prepares weekly report by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information. Reports are due to the Director, Bleeding Disorders Program, every Monday.
  • Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Maintain contact with Manufacturing Reps and Reimbursement Specialist to optimize the relationship with customers.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications and maintaining personal networks
  • Provide input into the design and content of regional meetings/conventions; make presentations as necessary.
  • Must be willing to travel 50-80% of the time, including overnights and weekends.
  • Identify, coordinate, plan and execute community based educational opportunities.
  • Attends local, community and national events as needed by the Company.
  • Serves and protects the Pharmacy by adhering to professional standards, company policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and URAC/TJC/ACHC standard of care.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business or other fields such as biology, sociology, psychology, communications, etc.,preferred however may substitute related work experience for degree.
  • Strong Customer Focus. Attention to Detail, Professionalism, Verbal Communication, Medical Teamwork, Presentation Skills, Client Relationships, Negotiation, Prospecting Skills, Meeting Sales Goals, Creativity, Sales Planning, Independence, Motivation for Sales.
  • Strong relationship building required; able to maintain effective relationships with physicians, nurses, local hemophilia chapter directors, social workers, and other customers.
  • Must be a self-starter, independent contributor requiring minimal daily supervision.
  • Highly proficient in computer skills and excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
  • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and resource management skills.
  • Ability to manage complex and changing calendars.
  • Ability to interact effectively and courteously with individuals of diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Ability to work independently and meet established or anticipated deadlines.
  • Ability to take on a wide range of duties and projects and prioritize appropriately.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all work performed.
  • Create a safe, effective environment and professionalism.
Physical Demands: Required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear; required to use hands to operate vehicles and office equipment; must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs; specific vision requirements for this job include: close, distance and peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus, reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position without compromising patient care.
