  • Primary job function will be to support the volunteers in the Ozark Trailblazers District (Farmington, Missouri).
  • Handle outbound and inbound calls for various campaigns (i.e. Friends of Scouting fundraising campaign, Recruitment nights, Camp, Product Sale), Unit health support, answering general e-mails and submitting flier requests.
  • Identifying donor and member prospects.
  • Supporting various district events on the backend.
  • Deliver youth talks at schools, deliver fliers to schools, picking up / deliver supplies and paperwork from volunteers in the field.
  • Attend occasional unit or district meetings (i.e. Friends of Scouting celebration, fall recruitment night, monthly leader Roundtable, etc) and other duties as assigned
  • Be a good role model and recognize the importance of working relationships with other professionals and volunteers. The associate must have communication skills and be able to explain the program's goals and objectives to the public.
Education A minimum of 2 years+ (equivalent to 60 credit hours) of college-level coursework at an accredited college or university is required. -OR- 2 years of full-time or 3 years of part-time military experience can be used as a substitute for the college-level required coursework. Qualifications
  • Must be comfortable with public speaking and interacting with diverse audiences. Excellent people skills, enthusiastic, punctual, responsible, and creative.
  • Self-motivated individual with solid time management skills and strong organizational skills in management, budgeting, and planning.
  • Committed to personal and professional productivity, while maintaining high ethical and professional working standards.
  • Must be willing to accept and meet Scouting America'sleadership and membership standards and subscribe to the Scout Oath and Law.
  • Primary job functions will mostly occur during workday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. May require occasional evenings or weekend hours; 37.5 hours per week to achieve positive objectives.
  • Ability to travel for training at least once a year for one to two weeks.
  • Must have reliable transportation and the ability to attend day and night meetings at the office and in the field.
  • A Scouting background is helpful but not required for employment.
