Following Kinder Morgan Inc. and customer policies, procedures, safety rules, and federal and state laws.Managing all types of bulk handling operations personally or through subordinate supervisors.Understanding and communicating knowledge related to bulk material handling operations.Training and developing subordinates in handling operations.Creating weekly forecasts of expenditures (Weekly Flash) for management.Establishing and maintaining crew/work schedules to meet customer needs while adhering to budget constraints.Tracking and directing train movements, including ordering and releasing trains to avoid demurrage.Creating and completing job postings and managing the hiring process.Managing employee progression programs and presenting them at scheduled company times.Staying updated on changes in working conditions or new technology to enhance safety and efficiency.Supporting improvement plans for employee success in achieving departmental goals.Maintaining accurate reporting processes for time and wages, and ensuring timely submissions to payroll.Keeping precise records of site operations.Coordinating activities with other supervisors within the organization.Directing maintenance and repair of machinery, including electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.Assisting in diagnosing machinery malfunctions.Overseeing dismantling, assembling, and installing bulk material handling equipment.Managing spare parts inventory and requisitions.Studying production schedules and estimating worker hours needed for tasks.Working directly with customers on scheduling trains and trucks.Enforcing safety regulations, company policies, and work rules.Interpreting specifications, blueprints, and job orders, and assigning duties accordingly.Adjusting work procedures to meet production schedules.Recommending improvements in handling methods, equipment performance, and product quality.Understanding the environmental impact of petroleum coke handling operations.Suggesting operational changes to increase departmental efficiency.Resolving work problems and assisting workers with issues.Motivating workers to achieve work goals.Leading daily maintenance and troubleshooting of conveyor systems, heavy equipment, rail cars, and cranes.Maintaining inspection, time, and production records.Handling procurement and reconciliation of supplies/spare parts using the P Card system.Collaborating with other supervisors to coordinate activities.Working with Health and Safety personnel on security and safety regulations.Documenting site operations and maintaining property, whether owned or leased.Monitoring spare parts inventory for all equipment.Willingness to carry a pager or cellular device and be on-call as required.Performing co-worker activities as needed.Willingness to work overtime, including weekends, as operationally required, with regular attendance.#J-18808-Ljbffr
