Role Overview: We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to serve as Temporary Store Associates. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers, supporting them with their shopping needs and ensuring the store runs smoothly. You will play a critical role in maintaining the store's presentation and functionality, ultimately driving customer satisfaction and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Unload incoming trucks and receive merchandise.
• Follow company procedures to unpack and store items in the stockroom or directly on the sales floor.
• Build attractive merchandise displays and ensure shelves are stocked, rotated, and face-forward.
• Assist customers in locating products and answering inquiries.
• Manage waste by bailing cardboard and maintaining cleanliness in all areas of the store.
• Engage with customers in a friendly manner, ensuring a welcoming environment.
• Operate the cash register efficiently, processing customer purchases with accuracy.
• Handle cash transactions responsibly and maintain proper cash handling procedures.
• Participate in ordering merchandise using handheld scanners when needed.
• Help maintain the front end of the store, including setting up sidewalk displays.

Qualifications:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of safe working practices and procedures.
• Ability to read and execute plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation instructions.
• Basic understanding of cash handling and mathematical skills.
• Prior experience with cash register operations is a plus.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
