Position: Office Assistant Description: Temporary Secretary / Office Assistant - Utica, NY Part-Time 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., three days a week $22/hr. Position Summary: The Temporary Secretary / Office Assistant provides essential administrative and clerical support to the Office of the President during a staffing transition. This role requires professionalism, discretion, strong organizational skills, and the ability to adapt to a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for the Office of the President, including greeting visitors, answering calls, and handling general inquiries.
- Provide general administrative support such as scheduling, preparing correspondence, and managing office communications.
- Assist with clerical tasks, including filing, mail distribution, maintaining records, and ordering office supplies.
- Support meeting and event logistics, including calendars, travel arrangements, and document preparation.
- Provide assistance on special projects and other assignments as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in handling sensitive information.
Qualifications:Required:
- Proficiency with word processing software, spreadsheets, email, and calendaring systems.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential information with discretion.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
Preferred:
- Prior administrative experience.
