The primary goal is to expand awareness of NRCS programs and conservation careers. Support overall program logistics, administration, and evaluation activities. Specific Duties Include:

• Administrative Support: General office support, reimbursements, and financial documentation for all project activities
• Conservation Outreach: Support efforts to expand awareness of NRCS programs and conservation careers through various outreach initiatives
• Partnership Coordination: Support collaboration activities between NC Cooperative Extension, NC FarmLink, and USDA-NRCS
• Event Coordination: Plan and coordinate logistics for outreach events and career awareness activities
• Program Evaluation: Assist with data collection and evaluation of program effectiveness in promoting NRCS programs and conservation careers
• Daily Operations: Support the Project Coordinator with day-to-day project management activities

Minimum Experience/Education

• Recently graduated or graduating from a 4-year college or university with a degree in Agriculture, Natural Resources, Environmental Science, or similar field

Department Required Skills

• Enthusiasm for conservation practices and agricultural production systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in agriculture or natural resources education/outreach
• Ability to travel statewide in personal vehicle, travel expenses will be reimbursed
• Self motivated

Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education

• Previous internship experience
• Experience with technology and online platforms
• Knowledge of NRCS programs, conservation practices, or natural resource management
• Interest in conservation careers and outreach
• Experience with administrative or financial support roles
• Experience working with government agencies or cooperative extension
