Location: Syosset, New YorkJob Type: ContractCompensation Range: $43 - 54 per hourOur client in the CPG/Pet space is looking for a temporary Director of Performance Marketing for a parental leave coverage.The temporary Director of Performance Marketing will be responsible for managing and overseeing the execution of digital advertising campaigns across various channels (Google Ads, Facebook, Instagram, programmatic, etc.), with a strong focus on data analytics, performance tracking, and reporting. This role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on experience in managing agency relationships and optimizing campaigns for maximum ROI. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with large datasets, developing actionable insights, and ensuring that campaigns align with broader marketing goals.Responsibilities:Campaign Management & OptimizationLead and manage the end-to-end execution of paid digital campaigns across multiple platforms (Google, Meta, Amazon, TikTok, etc.), driving both direct-to-consumer and retail channel performance.Work closely with external agency partners to ensure digital campaigns are executed effectively, on time, and within budget.Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly performance reporting to track key KPIs (e.g., ROAS, CPA, CPL, CPC, conversion rates).Optimize campaigns through A/B testing, audience segmentation, bid management, and creative iterations.Agency ManagementManage relationships with external agencies, providing direction and ensuring alignment with overall marketing and business objectives.Review and provide feedback on campaign strategies, creative assets, and execution plans developed by agencies.Ensure that agency teams deliver on performance goals and are held accountable for key deliverables.Data Analysis & ReportingLeverage data analytics tools (Google Analytics, Tableau, Excel, etc.) to extract actionable insights and optimize campaign performance.Prepare regular performance reports, presenting key findings and recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.Identify trends and opportunities in campaign data to inform future strategies and investments.Collaboration & Strategy DevelopmentCollaborate with internal stakeholders (Brand Marketing, E-commerce, Sales, Product) to ensure campaigns align with brand objectives and business priorities.Develop and execute data-driven digital marketing strategies to achieve both short-term and long-term business goals.Stay current with industry trends, emerging digital platforms, and advertising technologies to ensure the company remains competitive. Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).ExperienceMinimum of 4-6 years of experience in performance marketing, digital advertising, or media buying, with a strong background in managing paid media campaigns for CPG or e-commerce brands.Proven experience overseeing agency relationships and ensuring campaign deliverables are met with high standards.Strong understanding of performance metrics and the ability to analyze and interpret data to drive decision-making.Familiarity with digital advertising tools and platforms (Google Ads, Meta Ads, Amazon Ads, Programmatic, etc.).Experience using analytics and reporting tools such as Google Analytics, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.Skills & CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to extract insights from large data sets.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex data in a clear, actionable way.Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple campaigns and projects simultaneously.Strong project management skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.Proactive, results-driven, and able to adapt to a fast-paced and ever-changing digital landscape.
