This recruitment is for Temporary Full-Time Admitting Worker positions through UCI's internal temporary staffing department. Positions can be located at: UC Irvine - Campus; UC Irvine Medical Center - Orange; Costa Mesa; Laguna Hills; Newport Beach; Santa Ana; Anaheim; Tustin; Yorba Linda/Placentia

Responsibilities

• Interviewing patients for admission to UCI medical facilities.
• Making financial arrangements for hospital and clinic patients.
• Insurance verification and pre-authorizations.
• Maintaining medical records.
• Patient scheduling and re-scheduling.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Data entry experience.
• Experience using electronic medical records (EMS) systems.
• Experience working in customer service environments.
• Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English.
• 1-3 years of general clerical experience or completion of vocational training in the medical front office field.

Preferred

• Experience working in a medical setting for one year or more.
• Experience with EPIC EMR system.
• Knowledge of healthcare insurances.
• Experience with billing.

Compensation and Benefits

$25.00/hour (within range of $23.23/hour - $25.61/hour).
