Accounts Receivable Clerk Sunny Sky Products Job Summary The Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for managing customer accounts, processing incoming payments, reconciling invoices, researching discrepancies, and supporting general AR functions. This role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments to ensure timely and accurate customer billing and collections. Major Job Functions •Process and post customer payments accurately (checks, ACH, wire transfers). •Prepare and send customer invoices and account statements. •Monitor customer accounts to identify outstanding balances and ensure timely collections. •Research and resolve payment discrepancies, short-pays, and unapplied cash. •Communicate with customers regarding billing inquiries, payment status, and account reconciliations. •Process credit memos and adjustments as needed. •Support the deduction management and dispute resolution process. •Assist with month-end closing tasks related to accounts receivable. •Work closely with sales, customer service, and logistics to resolve account issues. •Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits. •Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities/Education •3+ years of accounts receivable and general accounting experience. •Strong knowledge of AR processes, cash application, and account reconciliation. •Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, basic formulas). •Accurate data entry and strong attention to detail. •Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. •Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities. •Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines. •Professional and customer-focused attitude. •Familiarity with logistics terminology and order-to-cash processes is a plus. •High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in accounting preferred.
