Position Summary/Department Summary:

Telephone Page Associate/Call CenterMonday - Friday 11:30am - 8:00pm, 100% in-person

Key Responsibilities:
  • Answer all incoming lines on switchboard console and connect to appropriate extension in an efficient and courteous manner. Escalate calls to other team members as appropriate.
  • Handle special and priority calls such as medical emergency and code alerts.
  • Respond to requests from individuals with pagers, for telephone and page information such as direct dial numbers, department numbers, physician on call status utilizing an automated computerized system.
  • Provide general information to the public, or refer to appropriate parties for responses.
  • Update contact database and customer profiles to reflect the most current information for essential medical and non-medical personnel.
  • Provide answering service support outside or during business hours. Greet callers, establish reason for call, enter message details, and promptly and accurately deliver messages.
  • Provide positive and effective customer service that supports departmental and hospital operations.
  • Inform supervisor of service issues and assist in contacting the correct vendor to facilitate resolution/repair of telecommunications systems.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client information.
Minimum Qualifications:

Education: High-school or GED diploma

Experience: 6 months of Customer Service experience. Data entry, data processing, and general computer experience required. Experience in a call center, healthcare setting, or telephone/switchboard experience preferred.
