PRIMARY PURPOSE
A Technology Specialist is responsible for managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting IT systems and software applications. They play a crucial role in ensuring that technology tools and infrastructure operate efficiently and meet the organization-s needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, maintain cloud infrastructure, network devices, servers, and software applications.
Provide technical support to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues to ensure minimal downtime.
Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to enhance system security and data privacy.
Conduct system backups, regular updates, and security audits to safeguard information.
Evaluate and integrate new hardware and software technologies to boost productivity and efficiency.
Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
Manage RSG physical offices and facilities, including overseeing access control, office supplies, mail sorting, and general office maintenance.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
An associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required; a bachelor's degree is often preferred.
3-5 years of practical experience with enterprise level IT Support
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proficiency and demonstrated experience with Windows hardware, software, and Microsoft Office 365
Experience with Mobile devices, basic networking skills, and PostgreSQL Server administration
Outstanding communication, listening skills, customer service, patience and relationship-building skills
Ability to exchange information and resolve problems with individuals and teams of varying sizes and technical abilities
Ability to communicate effectively in one-to-one and group settings, in-person and remotely, with peers, supervisors and customers
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Requires periodic travel
Frequently involves standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
Operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine or computer printer.
Frequently communicates with colleagues and clients. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
Ability to uphold the stress of traveling.
Ability to hike to remote locations carrying equipment up to 50lbs.
