As a Microsoft Manager your role will be to lead technical delivery for client digital transformation projects. This is a unique role involving advising clients and leading teams in the integration of the latest Microsoft cloud and modern workplace capabilities to drive significant client value. You need to have a deep understanding of the Microsoft Suite, servicing specific to advisory consulting, and partnering/managing a relationship with Microsoft. You will be responsible for defining the go to market approach, services within that approach, advising our TE/TM team (and beyond) on the best ways to leverage the platform for our clients, provide industry specific expertise to the platform, external marketing plan, and support significant sales with the platform and it's tools across TE. This role is specifically a strategic investment to grow our Microsoft capabilities and advisory services.
Your day-to-day may include:
The applicant MUST have a strong record of success in Consulting and/or Professional services sales/business development
Success selling Financial Systems, Application Managed Services and/or technology related services to the enterprise at the $250 Million to Fortune 1000 revenue levels
Well networked in the Microsoft ecosystem
Lead Generation - Ability to source, identify and qualify leads
Proven track record of solution based selling services at the CXO/VP level
Strong knowledge and understanding of multiple industries
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desire to collaborate in a team environment
Demonstrated self-motivated, strong work ethic, proactive nature
Proven track record meeting and exceeding services quota
Ability to use various software programs to produce proposals, reports, presentations, spreadsheets, etc. (MS CRM, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
You have the following technical skills and qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferably in Business or related discipline
Direct experience selling Micorsoft related services
Immediate or near-term ability to connect with regional client base
Relationships with Microsoft sales and management field teams
Minimum ten years senior level sales experience in a business-to-business or service industry
Experience working within a multidisciplinary professional services firm, preferably public accounting
Ability to develop long-standing relationships that lead to a premier positioning of Grant Thornton within a client organization
Ability to conceptualize, articulate and drive successful marketing strategies and plans
Experience identifying and developing business opportunities within client organizations
Possesses a high degree of integrity at all times and in all interactions
Communicates openly and honestly with clients and the Grant Thornton team
Consistently promotes and contributes to an effective team environment
Readiness to travel. Must be currently eligible to work in the United States, position is not eligible for employer sponsorship
English: Fluent spoken and written communications skills
Able to apply creative solutions to solve client problems
Extremely analytical with strong business sense
Highly organized and detail oriented
Flexible, adaptable and an eager self-starter
Prior consulting industry experience or prior experience in an internal consulting role
Strong knowledge of MS (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to travel as needed, approximately 40% travel
Consistent with the firm's hybrid work model, this position will require in-person attendance at least two days a work either at a GT office or at a client site
