Perfect for upcoming graduates (Spring 2024), our Technology Analyst position is a dynamic, analytical role heavily focused on designing and developing software solutions. Our Technology Analysts will exhibit intellectual curiosity, passion, adaptability, detail orientation, and effective and empathetic communication skills, all of which they will use to develop into our next generation of IT leaders.Technology Analysts will begin their career in a paid, comprehensive and team-oriented rotational training program environment. The training program begins in Summer 2024 and will provide new employees with a strong a strong foundation in high net-worth property and casualty insurance software solutions -this includes learning about PURE's policies and products, technology solutions, and the successful data analytic practices that shape our organization and differentiate us from our competitors.PURE will hire Technology Analysts to join our teams in either our Warren, NJ or White Plains, NY (HQ) office. All Technology Analysts hired into the Summer 2024 Training Program will have full-time positions at PURE upon completion of the rotational program.What you'll do.

• Participate in a training program that will allow you to engage in the full software development lifecycle for one of our core platforms (Policy, Claims, Billing, Salesforce, and Digital) in three functional rotations: Business Analysis, Development, and Production Support
• Gain an understanding of the principles of Agile development methodology.
• Learn how to:
  • Business Analysis Rotation:
    • Build the product backlog using Agile practices.
    • Break down high-level features and define acceptance criteria to create deliverable user stories.
    • Gain subject matter proficiency in key functions of our core platforms
    • Prepare for and facilitate User Acceptance Testing.
  • Development Rotation:
    • Analyze business requirements, design solutions and present them to Senior Architects for review and approval.
    • Develop, unit test and implement requirements based on approved design within previously provided estimates.
    • Make sound, solution-oriented technical decisions.
    • Resolve escalated support cases, conduct impact and root cause analysis on defects and develop solutions to prevent future occurrences.
    • Assist or support Production releases as needed.
  • Production Support Rotation:
    • Analyze and respond to production support cases
    • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders effectively and with empathy
    • Escalate to Application Development when appropriate
    • Update Knowledge Base articles for new resolutions or workarounds

What we're looking for.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• You have a strong background in coding and various coding languages.
• You are proficient in or have a working knowledge of at least one of the following: Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• You are able to work with relational databases and have an understanding of SQL.
• You have strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills, and can quickly absorb information and apply it to current business situations.
• You have excellent interpersonal, listening, written, and oral communication skills.
• You have established an impressive academic, professional, and recreational profile that demonstrates your ability to work in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.

About the Technology Services Team.We are a fast growing team of product managers, business analysts, architects, developers, and testers who are here to facilitate the accomplishment of PURE's corporate goals through technology. Our Application Development Team manages our core application platforms (Policy, Claims, Finance, Service, Digital), and our Enterprise Data Management team ensures that our users have the data that they need, when they need it.The base salary for this role will be $70,000, based on a full-time work schedule. An individual's ultimate compensation varies depending on job-related skills and experience, geographic location, alignment with market data, and equity among other team members with comparable experience.
