Job Description Core competencies will be assessed primarily on the following patient populations(s) served: Cardiac/cardiovascular, mammary, GI, endocrine, renal, skeletal conditions and diseases including but not limited to: CAD, PVD, CVA/TIA, COPD, CHF, Oncology, etc. Produces MRI images of designated anatomical areas as ordered/directed by a licensed physician or practitioner, according to established practices and procedures. Education & Experience:
- Accredited program in Radiologic Technology and training in Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
- Two (2) years as a staff MRI technologist preferred.
Certification/Licensure:
- New Jersey license and ARRT preferred.
- MRI certification within 6 months of hire.
- BLS certified required.
- IV course completion or within 90 days of hire.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Knowledge of proper examination sequencing and preparations as appropriate to the ages of the patients served (neonate, pediatric, adult or geriatric).
Physical Requirements:
- Lifts heavy objects.
- Subject to potential electrical and magnetic hazards.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and car insurance.
- Able to travel between sites as required.
