Techno Functional PeopleSoft GL Analyst - Jobgether : Job Details

Join a dynamic project team in a long-term consulting role supporting PeopleSoft Financials. This position offers the opportunity to lead key General Ledger initiatives, troubleshoot complex accounting issues, and optimize system configurations within a highly customized environment. You will work cross-functionally to ensure smooth period closes and system integrity, while contributing to testing, upgrades, and reporting processes. The role is remote, with optional in-office availability in New York City, and runs through September 2025 with potential for extension.

Accountabilities:

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to journal entries, ledger balancing, and financial close activities.
• Investigate and correct posting errors and ensure timely reconciliation of journal data.
• Maintain and configure Chart Fields, ledger groups, journal sources, and edit/post processes.
• Support month-end and year-end close procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Perform unit, integration, and user acceptance testing for system upgrades, patches, and fixes.
• Create and validate GL reports using PS Query and assist with data integration across systems.

• 10+ years of experience working with PeopleSoft General Ledger, preferably in highly customized environments.
• Expertise with PeopleSoft 9.2 and Tools 8.61, including ledger configuration, security, and chart field maintenance.
• Strong functional and technical background with hands-on testing and reporting capabilities.
• Ability to work standard business hours (9 AM – 5 PM EST) with flexibility during month-end and year-end close periods.
• U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder (no third-party candidates).
• Strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and clear communication abilities.
