This position provides exceptional customer service at the service desk assisting patrons with circulation, basic reference, and technology questions. This position assists the librarians, and helps to maintain a safe, secure, and positive library environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.Min Salary $35,456.80 Mid Salary $39,888.90 - We offer a competitive salary package that will be determined based on the candidate's experience level and qualifications related to the job. Compensation will be commensurate with your level of experience. Duties/Functions Difficult Challenges Contacts Education Required* Associate's degree from a regionally accredited postsecondary institution.Education PreferredExperience Required* One (1) year experience working in a library.* One (1) year experience working in a library with circulation or public services.Experience Preferred KSA Required* Ability to work efficiently and calmly under pressure.* Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written.* Accuracy and attention to detail.* Reconcile the cash drawer.KSA Preferred Department/Job Specific Requirements* Must drive to other campus locations and off-site locations as necessary to complete requirements of the job.The following (compliance) training is required and must be completed within the first 30 days of hire with annual refresher training thereafter:* Ethics* Safety/Shooter on Campus* Personal Information Protection Training (PIP)* Anti-Discrimination/Harassment & Title IX* Other training may be required as determined applicable.Physical Demands Posting Type Staff
