Technician, Clinical Lab - AHMC Healthcare : Job Details

Able to work in all basic functions of a CLS in the main lab, blood bank and microbiology. Performs quality control procedures for routine and stat testing of patient samples. Maintains records; performs and records instrument maintenance; troubleshooting instrument and sample problems; regularly utilizes the lab computer for various aspects of daily work; verifies completion of work using the computer. Able to work independently in a generalist capacity while adhering to standard lab practices. Responsibilities Regularly performs laboratory procedures in one or more of the scientific sections of the Clinical Lab. As a specialist; performs all routine and other procedures. As a float; performs all routine procedures. Correct procedures done and 100% accuracy within procedure limits, and turnaround as stated in the procedure manual. Sets priorities for the workload to assure that we meet our TAT standards for our ER initiative.
