Develop knowledge and skills to become a heavy-duty equipment technician and create a career path in Fleet Maintenance at FedEx Freight. Learn how to safely perform preventative maintenance and repairs on a vehicle fleet that includes tractors, trailers, forklifts, and other on- and off-road equipment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Learn to work safely and professionally in a shop / LTL operational environment. Complete each learning objective timely to develop competency levels in preventative and routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, and other equipment. Work with other technicians in performing preventative maintenance and repairs Learn to prepare records and reports both in writing and electronically to document work performed. Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures. Perform other duties as required.
