Job Title: Technical Writer I
Duration: 03 Months Contract + Possibility of Extension/FTE
Location: Naperville, IL 60540
Pay Rate: $30.00 - $31.64 Hourly
JOB SUMMARY:
Develop clear and concise operational instructions for process manuals, and other documents.
Collaborate with Core team (operators union members), safety team, engineers and product managers to understand product specifications and requirements.
Translate complex technical concepts into clear and accurate instructions.
Conduct interviews with and observe work performed by various user (Operators Union employees) to gather data for documentation. - Start-up / Shutdown / Changeovers / etc.
Gather photographs and other useful media to enhance and provide visual clarification of documents
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in training or equivalent combination of education experience or technical writer
Minimum 2 years experience as a technical writer or service writer, (food industry or related)
Solid technical writing skills, including the ability to research and document functionality, protocols and processes
Excellent writing, grammar, proofreading and editing skills along with strong verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects.
Exceptional ability in creating technical documentation for non-technical persons.
